Happy B-Day Axton

If you can believe it our nephew turned 2 last week! He is such an amazing little guy it's weird to think 2 years ago I was going into the NICU to meet him for the first time. As tradition goes I made him his cake, now he doesn't like sweets so the cake was really for everyone else. He did however love his Disney characters on top.

It'll all be okay

Due to my chronic acid reflux disorder I am not allowed to eat chocolate while pregnant, you may think that's a silly rule. I will have to disagree with you, Tuesday I gave into the temptation & ate about a 2 chocolate kisses worth and I was sick for a 24 hrs. Not worth it. I have been craving no bake cookies which contain a "little" bit of chocolate, but thanks to the Lion House Bakery cookbook my Mom got me for Christmas the craving has been satisfied.... introducing CARAMEL no bake cookies. A different taste but close enough the craving has been satisfied.

MMMMMMM.....

For Christmas my parents bought us a deep fryer, so not healthy but such an awesome gift! My friend Wendy and I have been coming up with recipes of things to fry, Friday we had our first adventure with it. Matthew, Kristin & Axton and Nate, Wendy & Taege came over and we started our frying adventure with scones, very good. Next came the even exciting part, cake donuts! We are not professionals but we did a pretty dang good job for the first try if you ask me, I think everyone who was here would agree.
What shall we fry next.....

Awesome, Not so Awesome, and New addiction.

I must say my mother-in-law is one awesome lady, when she found out I and my sister-in-law were expecting she started doing internet browsing for maternity stuff & she came across these things called the bellaband. At first we were a bit skeptical but after having ours jeans get tight much sooner than expected she decided to order them and see what it was all about. They arrived on Friday and I must say oh sweet relief I can breath & no one knows my pants don't do up anymore. So I must share this wonderful find with my fellow bloggers. Don't be cheap and go for the off brand, I tried one from motherhood maternity while I waited for mine to arrive by mail and it just isn't as good, order the real thing!
We added one of those baby tracker things to our email thinking it would be really cool to see how our baby was progressing day to day. I am not so sure how cool it really is, when I signed on and saw 199 days left I kind of wanted to cry. I am glad we are pregnant don't get me wrong but seriously this nausea/vomiting and heart burn for that much longer.....I might need a xanax! Now you are all thinking well the nausea/vomiting goes away, as usual for me I am different than most people and will probably deal with this the whole pregnancy due to my past stomach problems. Now as I said don't get wrong I am so excited to be expecting as I know many woman would do anything to be where I am. I think I had better think in months & not days, it seems less overwhelming!
The new addiction in our house is not related to odd foods as most would suspect it is to The Office. Yes we are behind the times, but thanks to some good friends letting us borrow the seasons on DVD to catch up we have joined in the addiction of so many people. It could be dangerous last night we stayed up late just watching & watching to see what happened next, I mean Jim finally told Pam how he felt & now I have to find time to watch the next episode! Maybe I won't go workout tonight so I can see, just kidding I'll go workout but seriously I am addicted!

We have not disappeared......

we've just been moving. We are finally (sort of) settled in our new apartment. I promise to upload pictures of it soon, for now know that we are alive & all is well!

Friday we drove through the snowy weather up to my parents house. My Mom had a wonderful breakfast waiting for us all when we arrived. Later in the day my Dad's family came to the house & everyone played in the snow, except me I took pictures (stupid lung infection). It was so cold, I only last for a few minutes before going in the house. The best pictures were taken by Mom, thanks again for doing that! Those climbing up and down the hill didn't seem to be bothered by the snow & wind, they played for a few hours. Hopefully I'll be well next time we are up there so I can play too!
