Last night we watched the Princess & the Frog good movie, but it brought a question to my mind that just won't leave. Why are Disney villains so freaky? I know they are suppose to be villains but really aren't these suppose to be children's movies.
How can those faces looking at you not make you want to crawl behind a pillow a scream in terror. Yes I am an adult I know they are just stories but seriously, freaky! Today at work we were discussing this & come to find out everyone is terrified of these characters, even though you know it ends well. Introducing the man who started this whole post.....

His face brings a whole new level of freaky to Disney movies......Isn't he just evil! You are right this post has no point but I had just had to get my thought out there in blog world.

Extended Road Trip.

1 week ago we were in a little bit warmer weather driving around St. George with Mike showing us the course of the duathalon he & Jessie were going to be participating in the next morning. Now I didn't say much warmer but it was definitely warmer, we could wear only light jackets or sweaters....awesome!
Our adventure began Friday morning around 8 when my parents picked us up & we headed south, luckily they took pity on the pregnant woman bladder & stopped when needed. My Mom had found us a beautiful condo that we all shared. A condo vacation is so much better than a hotel one! We checked into our condo, and headed to Tuacahn theater for Mike & Jess to check in for the race, this was the beginning and end of the race. After that we headed to have pasta for dinner, Mike needed some carbs before his race the next day.
Saturday morning we headed back to Tuacahn this time for the race! Mike participated in the sprint; 1.5 M run, 12 M bike ride and another 1.5 M run. He finished in about 1hr 12mins, super impressive!! Jess ran the 5K she finished in 27min, very impressive! It was actually really fun to watch the race, even if we only saw the start, change over from running to biking & the finish. There were some competitors who were VERY serious, wearing what I call wrestling outfits to run & bike in. I had a good laugh at some of them. Don't get me wrong I am impressed that so many people compete in these things (considering our nation is in terrible shape), I couldn't/wouldn't do it but really no one should wear spandex head to toe I don't care how good of shape you are in!
After some recovery time for the athletes we hit the outlet mall, the guys even came! I don't even remember them complaining about it. Upon return we decided to check out the swimming pool & hot tub, I'd like to give a shout out to my awesome Mom & Sister who swam with me in the semi-warm pool since I couldn't get in the hot tub. Thanks! That night we ordered pizza and watched the Olympics, man those were addictive to watch.
Sunday morning we had to head back to the snow of our valley :( Of course we couldn't just head home without seeing the some of the beautiful mountains, this was the first time Mark has been south of Nephi. Mike took us all up Snow Canyon, it was so beautiful and perfect hiking weather! Even if we got into a few interesting spots, see picture of my Mom & Dad, right after they peak they are going through you had to jump down the rocks. I must inform you all I didn't fall or break anything pretty good for accident prone me!

It's always nice to drive back into the Valley after being away, but I must admit it was a little harder than usual when we had to turn the heater up! Oh well living here is worth it.

Side note to my friend Amy W, the whole time I was there I kept thinking about our Zions
trip.....good times!

It had to be done!

As most people who share this valley with me winter seems to be dragging on and on. Well today I decided that letting it make me sad & depressed wasn't worth it! What better way to think of why you love your life than to make a list.

Putting on tennis shoes & a John Deere sweater, going for a walk and seeing....



2- We haven't had a Red air day for a few weeks, amazing fresh air.

3- At the end of everyday this is waiting for me

4- Mark found a way to satisfy my peanut butter craving without me having an allergic reaction.

5- The sun has stopped saying goodnight before I leave the office, glorious!

6-I have been trying to learn to play this & I am starting to improve



Well I am going to go watch Sabrina now, another glorious thing on my list! Remember there is always something worth smiling about!

Star of the Day.....

Today Mark is turning 27! How does one celebrate such an occasion? First off by being kidnapped by his wife for the night. Not only was a the kidnapping to a great "adventure", the destination had cable so the Olympics were watched & pizza enjoyed while cheering on the USA and toasting an amazing Birthday boy. Right now the Birthday boy is off flying high in the sky, upon his return the day of celebration will continue. His wife for one is very glad he was born 27 years ago, a day worth celebrating to the fullest!

Happy B-Day Axton

If you can believe it our nephew turned 2 last week! He is such an amazing little guy it's weird to think 2 years ago I was going into the NICU to meet him for the first time. As tradition goes I made him his cake, now he doesn't like sweets so the cake was really for everyone else. He did however love his Disney characters on top.

Nope you are not late for Easter......

My Mom's chickens just lay the prettiest eggs!
