My child may have no sense of taste!

Made Noah eggs for breakfast, he hated them. Put him down to play he crawls over and tries to eat my toes. Seriously child my toes do not taste better than eggs!

This past week we got to have visitors for a few days. My roommate Heather from ISU and her boyfriend Brett came to stay. It was great fun. Monday night we just hung out at our apartment and on Tuesday we headed to the Temple to do baptisms and than wandered around campus since Brett has never been here before.

While we went to the temple Great-Granddad & Great-Grandma H watched Noah for us. Noah loves spending time with them, so much so that he didn't nap for the first hour he was with them even though he could hardly keep his eyes open when we left. He finally gave in when he and Granddad sat down as watched TV. This is one of those pictures that just makes my heart happy and makes me thankful to live so close to so many family members

Noah + Food = happy boy

Noah has begun eating lots of "big" people food, the doctor advised we try to get him to eat more because he isn't really gaining weight. Some of Noah's favorite new foods;
grilled cheese sandwiches
baked beans
waffles
baked sweet potatoes
pancakes
Rotisserie chicken
and
Ice cream (most important)

I promise he does eat in his high chair most of the time, i just never have the camera by me when he does.
What food did your kids love as babies?

HELP!

For work we have a potluck lunch/staff meeting once a month. This month I am in charge of the menu & thought it would be fun to do an appetizer & fruit bar, only 1 problem I can't think of a good appetizer to make! Someone is already bringing veggie pizza. Do you have a favorite appetizer you that I could have the recipe for? Maybe with meat?

How did that happen?!?!?

Noah had his 9 month check up yesterday and turned 9 months today! Grandma H got to bring him to the doctor since I didn't want to spend my day off visiting my office. I thought it was rather nice of her!
Noah's growth stats;
Weight 20.56 lbs 52% (gained a whopping 2 ounces in the last month!)
Head 18.7 inches 96%
Height 30.25 inches 96%
And now a flood of Noah pictures courtesy of his Grandma H & her amazing skills! I can't figure out how to change the order of the pictures so in no particular order.....

I wish I knew what he was thinking in this picture, he looks like he is making some serious plans for the future.

Almost 9 months ago Mark & I welcomed a wonderful little boy into our lives. In the last 9 months I've realized a few things about myself. 1- I will most likely never be as skinny as I was before having Noah (luckily Mark likes me round). 2- There will never be enough hours in the day. 3- Playing silly baby games will always be more important than a clean house....the list goes on and on. However one of the biggest things I've had to realize is weather I like it or not I am a working Mom. I am fortunate to have a wonderful babysitter for Noah who showers him with love the hours I am away from him. Even knowing this there is a small sense of jealousy every time a mother comes in and states her job as "homemaker" how I long for that to be my job. When Mark and I decided to have kids we knew that me staying home was most likely not going to happen for YEARS, the Lord let us know even if this be the case the time for our family to grow was now. So we have a wonderful little man who I can't imagine my life without and I work part time. A few instances in the last few months have made me realize one further thing about my realizing I am a working Mom, I need to accept this and stop living in the hope of one day I'll be home for every moment of my kids life and not miss firsts but for now I am not and firsts will be missed but I'll get to experience them as first for me because otherwise I am missing lots of great little moments in Noah's life.. I have been told by others they admire my strength for leaving Noah and working. This should make me feel great about myself right, wrong! Each time I hear this comment by heart sinks a bit more because of the deep jealousy in my heart for stay at home Mom's. This past week I had a realization that jealousy can quickly turn to anger....very bad things to have in ones heart. I am working very hard to not allow this to happen, however I fear that perhaps it has a bit and along the way I have not been the greatest friend toward my friends who are blessed to stay home. I apologize for this. I am realizing that even having Noah in my life is a great blessing that many Mom's long for in there lives and here I am taking moments for granted because I work part time. Bottom line, I have learned in the last 9 months I have a wonderful family supporting us as we raise Noah and I love them...even if I have to include a babysitter in the family.
