Brigham City Temple

Mark's Aunt Laurie & her family have been enjoying a family reunion this week & one of their activities was going to the Brigham City Temple open house. They were kind enough to invite us & Mark's parents along. It was a very enjoyable day. Noah did NOT enjoy the temple tour, isn't it crazy that a 2 year old hates being told he can't run, be loud or climb things :)
Noah would have played all day in the fountain, Grandma let him play for a few minutes.

I am so happy Families are Forever because I sure do love my family!
Something about seeing the American flag in front of a temple just makes my heart happy, if I think about it too long it will make me cry also.

We finished with a lovely lunch at Maddox, no pictures it was to crazy with an exhausted toddler. Grandpa rescued us all by letting him play outside while Mark, Grandma & I finished our food.

Evenings....

Some nights are just perfect for being outside as the sun sets, going for walks & throwing rocks in the canal.

Noah's cloud 9

We attended the Pioneer Day parade with Mom H. today. On our walk back to her house Noah stopped in at the fire station. The firefighters let Noah climb up in the truck and gave him a fireman's hat. If you know Noah at all you know he was in heaven! He loves fire trucks and being able to drive, combine them and he was pretty much on cloud 9!

June catchup

As the weather changed in June to being warm all the time Noah enjoyed the sun, so did his parents. We have done many things a few being; playing in the water with his grandparents & parents, going to Bear Lake a few times, playing with baby chicks, first time on a waterside at the water park (he loved it) and his very own little waterside at home.
He also moved to a big boy bed. Yes he still ends up on the floor some nights but is getting better, he is skeptical about getting out himself which is hilarious to us. We realize this will change but for now we giggle when he yells at us each morning from his bed. In reality even if he did get out he can't leave his room, we have a baby gate blocking his door since he can open all the doors in our house. I worry he would escape while we slept away. This is a valid worry as I have caught him I the garage a few times making a break for it.
Hopefully in labeling the pictures you can understand where they fit in with the post :)

Trippin' continued...

Originally the plan was after I arrived in California Mark & Noah would fly out and we'd have a little family vacation with our cousins. However Marks work schedule didn't follow our plan so it was changed and after driving all those hours Kristin dropped me off at LAX. Thanks to prayers & bad weather I was able make it on a flight to Chicago and spend time with Mark.
Mark has been renting a room in Chicago from a really nice guy met through church. He was nice enough to allow me to come stay too. We decided to spend the day I was there doing things I had never done in Chicago before. This was my 5th trip there since I have known Mark but the first time we did different things. We had to rely on public transportation a first for me. I was amazed at all the teenagers just using the CTA and not having any stress. I would probably still be lost in Chicago if Mark hadn't been with me.
We started off by visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo. This is a free Zoo, it was pretty darn amazing. We didn't plan to well as we shared the Zoo with hundreds of elementary school kids but they were fun to watch.
After that we jumped back on the bus and headed into downtown to have lunch with our friends Cameron & Rosie. Of course we had deep dish pizza, wonderful as usual. Since my first trip to Chicago 5 1/2 years ago I have wanted to ride the ferris wheel at Navy Pier. This time we did! It was really fun to see the city from that point of view. We got to watch sail boats that were their for a world sailing competition, lots of work on their part just plan beautiful in my eyes. We ended our day having an Italian Beef at Al's. It was good, however I would leave the spicy peppers off next time, my mouth was on fire!
The next day started to early, 4:30 to be exact. Mark had to be to work at 6. So we headed to the airport very early, it was so peaceful and beautiful as we waited for the train. Once at the airport we went or different ways, he flying people around the Midwest and me home to our little guy. It was a whirl wind trip but worth it to have a little getaway for our 5yr anniversary which was June 9.
My parents were kind enough to watch Noah while I was gone. Noah got to spend most of the time with my Dad working the farm, not sure who was more upset at the time coming to an end my Dad or Noah.

Road trippin'

May 30 I ran home from work early & jumped in a car with my dear friend/cousin Kristin and her adorable kids and headed for California. She had come out for her brothers graduation and I volunteered to drive back with her. It was blast. Yes lots of driving but I wouldn't trade it for anything, all those hours just chatting with my friend who I have missed greatly since she moved so far away. Her kids were amazing on the drive!

We saw some fun things as we drove, a double decker bus in Nephi for instance.... I wish I could remember what Noah called it. Beautiful sunsets, lots of desert! We stopped at Peggy Sue's 50 diner, the food was play the bathroom was awesome. It was painted like Hollywood. Don't worry we didn't drive straight we stopped for a few hours & slept.

Memorial Day

I am trying to publish this with my phone app so we'll see how it goes. It may be crazy & out of control, we shall see.
The Sunday of Memorial Day weekend Noah & I traveled to my parents house. We had fun visiting the cemeteries.

Memorial Day Noah & I went hiking with my Dad, Mom, Jessie & Mike. It was little cold but gorgeous on our hike. My Dad & Mike took turns carrying Noah, very nice of them.

We ended Memorial Day back at our house with a BBQ with Mark's side of the family. I had to smile watching Noah & Axton playing the organ, I wonder how much time their daddy's spent doing this when they were little. I hope these two cousins can grow up close like their dad's.
Sorry if this is a mess, if it is don't fear I'll use the computer for my next post .
