Progress.

Noah is finally making progress with his twin cousins being around. Since they aren't allowed out on public right now due to RSV season and their prematurity. So when Jessie needed to run some errands we got to play with them for a few hours. Noah wanted to hold them and anytime they cried he wanted to figure out how to make them happy. He sure is growing up. Noah also decided to play photographer with my camera and the twins. He did pretty good, the singles of the girls he took.
Before the girls came over we took Noah for a haircut, it was getting boarder line mullet in back. He did so good the entire hair cut holding still and moving his head like he was instructed to. She kept it long enough that he still has some curls but he looks very grown up now.

Noah got a white shirt for Christmas and this past week we found a nice tie for him. Today he wore it to church. I just can't believe how frown up he looks!

Mark is turning 30 on Sunday. Sadly we are really adults and work schedules won't allow us to celebrate that day so we had an early party tonight. Mark requested homemade Chicago deep dish pizza and a chocolate/fudgey dessert. We gathered at his parents house and used their kitchen to create some pretty dang good pizza if I do say so myself. Followed by lots of visiting as both our families were able to come. His mom nailed the dessert request! It was a very fun evening. We are so happy we have families that get along so well and took the evening to celebrate with us. I am so thankful my husband was born (almost) 30 years ago and that 6.5 years ago he came to town and swept this country girl of her feet. I am blessed every day to have him in my life. Happy Birthday!
Side note-Noah decided he didn't need a shirt anymore so he took it off before we had cake, crazy toddler!

Fresh air

Last night we had a small amount of snow fall in the valley, just enough to clean out the inversion and cover the driveway. Apparently others got 1-2 feet but not us and I am okay with that :)
Noah loves any chance to go outside and since the air was clear and it was in then high teen's we couldn't miss today's opportunity.
We had fun clearing the little bit of snow off our driveway, Noah likes to crash things with his snow shovel. He spent tried to eat the snow off the driveway we had to have a discussion about how the brown snow was yucky. He found white snow to eat, still probably not sanitary but oh we'll he is alive still, the entire time saying "brown snow is yucky".
We are so blessed to live In this beautiful valley and have such a wonderful home to come warm up in after fun in the snow.

Growing up

Noah is growing up so quickly these days. The last 2 days he's had to have a shower instead of a bath. The fact we have a hand held shower head makes it less scary I think. When asked if he wants a bath he responds "shower, take my clothes off" ands run for the bathroom. Now if we could get him this excited about using the potty.

Lights

At the beginning of this month we had the fun chance to meet up with our "Chicago" friends for dinner and to celebrate a new baby who was expected soon. It was lots of fun & Noah even did somewhat okay at the restaurant. Eating out is hard for 2 year olds not sure how to make it easier. After dinner we decided to visit temple square & see the lights since we had already made the drive down. Noah loves seeing Christmas lights when we drive places so we figured he would love the lights at temple square. In our calculation we forgot the large amount of water present in all the fountains. Very pretty to look at but also very tempting to a 2 year old. Our visit didn't last long as Noah kept trying to "swim" which resulted in him being strapped in the stroller which ticked him off and caused a huge tantrum. We quickly left temple square with our screaming toddler, maybe next year he'll like it. On our way to the car he did calm down whenever a horse and carriage would pass us. He would cheer and clap for them, we think he thought it was a parade. Enjoy a few pictures from our quick light trip.

Thanksgiving

See as it is almost Christmas I figured I should blog about Thanksgiving. We had 2 wonderful meal this year. One when Mark was home, Mom & Dad H let us invade their house/kitchen it was a wonderful day. I cooked my first turkey, with lots of help & patience from Mom H. It was so yummy, I hope I can remember how to make it that yummy again :)
Granddad, Grandma and Great Aunt Marianne joined us also. We had lots of yummy food and great company.
For the actual Holiday we Noah & I joined the Zwick family at Mom & Dad H's house. It was again a wonderful meal, way to much food but worth the stuffed feeling.
After a wonderful meal we traveled to Mom & Dad N's house for the weekend. Noah got to hand out with Grandma, Aunt Jessie and the twins while I worked. The twins are growing and changing. The pictures are from thanksgiving weekend.
