HELP!
For work we have a potluck lunch/staff meeting once a month. This month I am in charge of the menu & thought it would be fun to do an appetizer & fruit bar, only 1 problem I can't think of a good appetizer to make! Someone is already bringing veggie pizza. Do you have a favorite appetizer you that I could have the recipe for? Maybe with meat?

How did that happen?!?!?
Noah had his 9 month check up yesterday and turned 9 months today! Grandma H got to bring him to the doctor since I didn't want to spend my day off visiting my office. I thought it was rather nice of her!
Noah's growth stats;
Weight 20.56 lbs 52% (gained a whopping 2 ounces in the last month!)
Head 18.7 inches 96%
Height 30.25 inches 96%
And now a flood of Noah pictures courtesy of his Grandma H & her amazing skills! I can't figure out how to change the order of the pictures so in no particular order.....

Almost 9 months ago Mark & I welcomed a wonderful little boy into our lives. In the last 9 months I've realized a few things about myself. 1- I will most likely never be as skinny as I was before having Noah (luckily Mark likes me round). 2- There will never be enough hours in the day. 3- Playing silly baby games will always be more important than a clean house....the list goes on and on. However one of the biggest things I've had to realize is weather I like it or not I am a working Mom. I am fortunate to have a wonderful babysitter for Noah who showers him with love the hours I am away from him. Even knowing this there is a small sense of jealousy every time a mother comes in and states her job as "homemaker" how I long for that to be my job. When Mark and I decided to have kids we knew that me staying home was most likely not going to happen for YEARS, the Lord let us know even if this be the case the time for our family to grow was now. So we have a wonderful little man who I can't imagine my life without and I work part time. A few instances in the last few months have made me realize one further thing about my realizing I am a working Mom, I need to accept this and stop living in the hope of one day I'll be home for every moment of my kids life and not miss firsts but for now I am not and firsts will be missed but I'll get to experience them as first for me because otherwise I am missing lots of great little moments in Noah's life.. I have been told by others they admire my strength for leaving Noah and working. This should make me feel great about myself right, wrong! Each time I hear this comment by heart sinks a bit more because of the deep jealousy in my heart for stay at home Mom's. This past week I had a realization that jealousy can quickly turn to anger....very bad things to have in ones heart. I am working very hard to not allow this to happen, however I fear that perhaps it has a bit and along the way I have not been the greatest friend toward my friends who are blessed to stay home. I apologize for this. I am realizing that even having Noah in my life is a great blessing that many Mom's long for in there lives and here I am taking moments for granted because I work part time. Bottom line, I have learned in the last 9 months I have a wonderful family supporting us as we raise Noah and I love them...even if I have to include a babysitter in the family.

A little Noah to brighten your day.
Noah made a new friend at Grandpa & Grandma N's house last week. They get along really well.
Mark says he is going to be like me & never shut up (okay he said it in nicer words but that was the basic idea) I think he might be right.
Visiting my parents today Noah decided to show us his version of a worm

6 months past.
Noah is 8 months & 1 week old, meaning I started back to work 6 months ago! How did that happen? One perk of going back to work is getting to weigh & measure Noah on the doctor office equipment basically whenever I want. Today Mark brought him by so we could get his 8 month measurements for his baby book & we discovered why 9-12 month clothes fit so well & 6-9 month clothes are getting a little short.
Weight 20lbs 4oz, 61%
Height 29.75in 95%
This is how we have found Noah for the last few mornings & nap times, he loves his bumper & how soft it is. I had moved him about an hour before this back to a normal spot and he moved right back to where he wanted to be. Crazy Kid! This morning he did sleep in a normal spot but was on his tummy again, guess he takes after his parents on being a tummy sleeper.
