Field Trip

Today Noah's preschool went to one of the local firehouses on a field trip. Noah LOVES firetrucks so he thought this was awesome. Lily and I got to go along.

The kids got to see the inside of an ambulance and learn how they treat patients. 

They had taken the stretcher out so the kids would fit. When he was done teaching them he said someone could ride it back in, Noah was a bit hesitant but the only child interested at all so he got to. The firemen were so good with the kids 

Safety first must wear a seat belt always. 

Next onto the big fire truck. One other girl sat in the seat but when he asked her to turn the lights on she was out of there, Noah was all about it

Noah got put on the oxygen also, he said it wasn't heavy because he was as strong as a fire fighter.

One of the firemen showed the kids how they get outfitted to fight a fire 

He let them try to poke his eyes to show them how strong the mask was 

They spent lots of time talking to the kids about how they won't look like themselves if they ever have to rescue them but to come to them because it is still them. I hope we never have to call them but I am glad to know we have such great firefighters in our neighborhood and that Noah knows what they will look like in an emergency 

They gave all the kids plastic fire hats, Noah wore his for the picture than gave it back. He has a hard plastic one at home that he knows won't break like this one. He is such a silly kid

Treehouse Museuam

Yesterday Jessie and I loaded up the kids and headed to the Treehouse museum, sure glad our kids are pretty good at car travel so we can go on our "adventures". We met up with our cousins Natalie & Jamie, we discovered if you want to actually visit don't meet at a place where there are so many things for kids to run and play.

The twins loved these little costumes, they didn't want to take them off.

 Amelia kept saying "I'm a sheep cowboy!" She wouldn't accept that she was a cow

 We learned there was a traveling Curious George exhibit and since these kids love him it was the perfect time to go visit.

Two little mommies, they love babies and probably would have taken these home.

 There was a cute diner where the kids could cook the food and serve their parents, Noah and Ruby were very good little chefs.

Back to the George Exhibit, Noah really enjoyed being the doorman in George's lobby.

 Music time! This room was very loud but the kids loved it.

Happy Birthday Opa

Sunday we had the opportunity to travel down and celebrate Opa's birthday which was yesterday. I love that my kids get the special experience of knowing their great grandparents so well. Noah was so excited to see Opa waiting the few hours to leave was like torture to him.'

At one point I didn't know where Noah was and found him with Opa waiting for the cuckoo clock to go off, Opa had changed the time so it would go off for Noah to see.  These memories for him with his great-Opa are precious to me.

Alaina impresses me in heels she carried a lit birthday cake without a second thought, I can't even walk in them.

 I realize the next photos are basically all the same but the sequence of trying to get a photo was to cute and funny to not share.

Noah had to put his arm around Oma like Opa did, he is always trying to be as big as everyone else. 

Lily was ready for a nap and kept yawning instead of cooperating for a picture

 Lily with Aunt Alaina. Lily loves her aunt Alaina always but when she spoke french to her that night she went nuts with excitment, guess babies like french.
